Born in Atlanta in the early 70′s under the name Charlyn Marie Marshall later “Chan Marshall” the daughter of a blues singer and pianist grew up through tough times and emerged as the breathless indie vocalist and guitarist Cat Power. Known for her impudent feisty nature, she has covered the best and now can count herself among them in the annals of rock history. Her indifferent manner and throwaway style make her even more alluring.
She is currently on tour with the legendary counter culture band The Pretenders.
